Hey I have a Core 2 Duo 2.0 ghz Macbook and was curious as to what ya'll think? It may be a weird question but I want to make sure nothing bad happens to make MB.

Do ya'll think it is safe to watch/view porn on your computer via Safari?

nope, the cpu will have a meltdown, and the entire computer will explode. It's best you don't look at porn.

I think you should be ok as long as you're getting it from a respectable source.

Remember a few months back all those stories of people's laptops catching on fire?

It wasn't the batteries...it was porn. Bad stuff....

Well, if someone walks into the room, remember the following:

1) do not use Exposé

2) do not minimize to the Dock, because unlike Windows... the window will still be visible

3) do not have Dock Magnification turned on... you get the picture (literally? >_> )

4) if you have no other window open, do not try to open a new app in hopes of creating a new window, as OS X apps do not necessarily open a new window when launched

5) and even if you have another window open, bringing it to the front might not work, since OS X windows are usually not "maximized"

6) do not use Spotlight, especially if you have Bookmarks enabled in the Spotlight Search Results

Good luck to ye!

No, pr0n is designed for a PC. Watching it on a Mac will make your hard drive blow up, your CPU sneak out and kill you in your sleep, and then it will give you a kernel panic.

Well, when you watch porn on a Mac, the camera and microphone turn on WITHOUT lighting the LEDs. They can see you and they stream what you're doing to other porn sites.

For porn safe viewing, you need to put a condom over your head so the viewing won't be as sharp at it usually is without it.

mathogre is right. The camera is built in for a reason. Put tape over it when watching pr0n. And I don't mean masking tape. I don't even mean duct tape. The camera is recording infrared light which penetrates regular tape. That is right, infrared, as in heat. The camera is capturing you in heat. And it will end up on youtube. Go to an automotive store and ask for diesel engine spark plug tape. It is metal coated.

i dont have no mac's
i think the biggest trouble you will have is hairy palms....

but more seriously to answer your question, macs will not pick up spyware/malware/viruses/etc from such sites so in theory yes it is safe to watch porn. just make sure you lock the door

Just saran-wrap the keyboard. Ask your local chinese-food take-out place for advice, they seem to do it well. Or maybe get a McDonald's style touchpad. I said touch... heh heh...

This sure is one silly thread.

It depends on the type of pr0n you're watching and what your Mac's preferences are set to. Check under the pr0n settings in System Preferences.

Well I've been referring to my iSkin as a keyboard condom ever since I got it, but in conjunction with this thread, it could be taken somewhat literally :-D

This sure is one silly thread.
Indeed, but it's making for some great light-hearted reading!
