As of late I've been considering buying a used late model G5 off of eBay and maxing out the features to the best of my ability and finances. If I did this, would the G5 handle HDV editing alright? I've been wanting a Canon XH A1 HDV camcorder for some time now and would need something suitable for editing... my PowerBook G4 just wouldn't suffice and of course I can't afford a Mac Pro. So this is my possible solution. Would it work? How high can things be upgraded?

Yeah I figured as much. I just couldn't remember if HDV hit it big before or after Power Macs. Thanks!
