I'd like to move all my Mac Mail settings and messages from one Mac to another. Is there an import/export or is it just copying ~/Mail, or maybe something else?

Any suggestions?

Is this for setting up a new Mac? I know that when you first launch the new Mac, it'll ask you if you want to import your data from the old Mac...

In the Utilities folder, there is that assistant I am telling you about and it comes with Mac OS X Tiger... It's called Migration Assistant.app. Launch it and see what it'll ask you: I have a feeling you will have to be in Target Mode for this to work though.

It would be a piece of cake if you have .Mac: you would use Apple's Backup and then sync the files.

That sounds reasonable. I have .Mac (grateful that work paid for it for me). Seems a bit slow though. I have 500MB.
