One quick question before leaving Windows :)

- Macbook - 2.4 ghz intel core duo / 4 gig of ram.
Macbook pro or macpro. Simple as that.
If you are using final cut studio 2 you will need about 4gig of ram for it to run half decent (stable). An older cersion does require less.
If you are doing 3d work this will be fine.
You "could" get away with 2gig, but you do notice slowdown when you pile the video with transitions and effects.
If you are just using imovie, then maybe a macbook will be ok, i cannot say as I have never used it.
