It wouldn't look authentic though. I like the way it is but it is just me :)

It's probably a clear skin that covers the Macbook to protect it.

Sure you can, you can buy all the outer casing and move the internals to the black casing. ;) A bit expensive not to mention voids your warranty. Sorry but there is nothing out there at I know of that will turn a white macbook black. but then again you could email Micheal Jackson he might know something. ;) Like it was mention already the best skins ever are just basically a clear sticker that goes over the plastic of the macbook to protect it from scratches.

keep it white! look at www.macstyles.com and check out the silver turntable design. it looks good on my white mb. and that link you posted only covers half of the trackpad area; at macstyles they cover the clicker and the perimeter of the keyboard

no offense

but white looks wayyyyyy better than the black one

remember Space Odyssey 2001 and THX 1138?

everything was white, curvy, and futuristic

don't mess it up!

I've seen white ones after a lot of use, and those wrist rests look nasty. I'd go for black. Even without the dirty wrist rest problem, I'd for a black one.

The old white ones got so bad in the wrist area because of defective plastic. It's been remedied by Apple on the new ones. And if it gets dirty, the Mr. Clean magic eraser does an amazing job.
