- so old you'd laugh
I picked up an old Powerbook 190cs and it has a boot password on the hard disk. I've been getting ready to move and have packed up somewhere my Techtools disk and other stuff. I haven't worked on Apples for so long (formerly worked on them in a school district and knew Mac fairly well) that I don't know a way around this without inititializing the drive - which I can do as it came with Disktools and 7.5.2 install disks. But I'd first like to see what's on the disk if possible. Is there a way to get around this? I remember somewhere the this password is not encrypted on the HD but how can I get to the HD? Any help much appreciated.
