That is one of the optional installs on your Mac OSX install disk. I believe it's on disc 1. Read about it here

There's a separate Universal download than doesn't need X11. Follow the link from their home page.

MacForums FreeCiv Internet Game

FreeCiv is an open source version of Civilization II that is free and fun to play. I was wondering, since so many people are always asking for Civilization and mentioning how they like to play it if anyone would want to get a game going sometime?
