Will the Macally powerbook adapter work on my 1.5Ghz 12" PB?

Like many others, the wires around the plug have frayed... mine actually sparked and nearly melted!

I don't want to drop the $80 on the new one from Apple, esp. if it hasn't been redesigned to prevent failure.

b/c it got pretty good reviews, BUT it says it is specified for these only:
"AC/Power Adapter for the Titanium G4 PowerBook and new iBook"

Isn't mine the Aluminum PB? Will it still work? I just want to make sure it's 100% compatible before buying one.

If it does work, is this a good adapter to go with?

If not, can anyone recommend one that will work OR a cheaper source for the OEM charger?
