selecting images

With my old pc I could save images from webpages onto my computer. I did this by right clicking an image, going to edit and then going to my desktop/a word document/my pictures folder and clicking paste.

I cannot seem to do this with my macbook.

Any advice about how to do this?

All you have to do is simply drag and drop the image to wherever you are tying to save it.
