Hey guys, how are you doing? I was just wondering if there was a way to completely wipe the info off my mac so it comes back to it's factory model. I got a new computer and I want this to be a backup the problem is that I don't have my installation discs. Is there still a way to do this? Thanks.

You will need your installation discs to do this. If you don't have yours, ebay is littered with them. Just be sure to buy either a full retail version of the OS or discs that were specifically designed for an iBook model that you have.

you can also buy restore discs from apple direct.. call them and let them know you lost yours and they will send you new ones.. as DB stated try ebay first because apple will charge you and arm and a leg for theirs.
