802.11n extreme base station vs 0S 10.3: extreme deathmatch!

Help! can someone please tell me how to get my ibookG4 running OS10.3 to pick up my new 802.11n base station?? hardware disk says you need tiger to load the software, but i'm not so sure... pc's can do it, why can't 10.3??
