Garageband Imports

I recently recorded myself on garageband with using some guitar amp effects. When I save this in it's native garageband format, it works fine with the effects but once I change it to save to AAC and I play it through iTunes, the effects are gone.

Is there a way to save this to AAC or some other popular music file with the effects?

Export the saved file to iTunes with the Garageband export function. Maybe called Share.

I exported the file from garageband. Still, when playing in iTunes, it plays without the effect.
