So, I was just searching for some nice HTML/CSS editors, and I stumbled across Coda. I downloaded it and found it truly amazing. Do I have to eventually buy it or can I just continue with this non-purchased version?

Hold out as long as you can. I think you get 14 or 21 days trial. A new version is around the corner. With lots of bug fixes.

I've purchased two copies already. And sent them daily emails, for about three weeks, with bugs and improvements that I've found. I'm really waiting for the next version so I can get rid of the other editor(s) I use.

As is, Coda is not complete because of the bugs.

Yeah I believe it's a 15 day demo, you should see it at the top right corner of your Coda window. My 15 day demo just expired so I purchased it last night. Great app and the coders are very responsive to my suggestions and bug reports. I've been quite pleased with Coda thus far. I still need to use BBEdit alongside Coda, but Coda definitely does many things better than BBEdit, but somethings, like search and replace, etc not as well.

:(
I'm only 14, so I don't have a credit card to buy it with. Well, I'll just enjoy the 15 days I have with it.

I asked about PayPal recently and received this response:

Good point!

You can send us payment at [email protected], just be sure to include all the info from the order page!

-Mike
So maybe send them an email and see if you can do the same! :)

Coda will still work after the 15 days. But some things will be disabled.

Can you tell me which features are disabled? I want to know if I can still work with it after the 15 days.
All I need is just the HTML editor part and the CSS editor part.

I don't know exactly... I've bought it before it ran out.

Do you have a parent/guardian/teacher who can buy it if you give them the cash?

My parents could buy it for me, if I give them the cash, but they dont really like buying stuff over the web. I'll see if the expired version is good enough, and if it isn't I'll just find another editor. Its no big deal really.

You can call them up and see if they'll take a check.

Coda - well worth it. Apart from the slick interface, the stability of the program amazes me everytime. And the HTML validator is like a god's gift... it's like.... magic!
