Okay, weird question, I know -- but do you ever think your MBP is a bit too big?

Just wondering...

It seems like 14.1 x 9.6 is fairly large footprint that takes up a good amount of desk space.

EDIT: I'm referring to the 15.4" MBP. The 17"er is way too big for me! ;)

I'd imagine the people who actually bought them don't mind the size too much.

Now, ask a 12" PowerBook owner if he/she thinks the 15" MacBook Pro is too big. Go on, ask. :)

I've never thought my mbp was too big I think its just the right size. Even the 17" mbp is a good size, my friends have 17" hp laptops and those are monsters compared to either sized mbp. Us mac folks have it lucky with such a great design, we dont have to lug such beasts around.

Haha I agree. Some 17" laptops are HUGE. :D

Yeah, true... but ya know how sometimes people buy something, use it for a while, then say "Gee, I wish it was smaller/bigger/whatever" :)

EDIT: To be honest, I prefer the small footprint of the Macbook. But the features of the Pro are tempting. If the Pro came in the Macbook size, it would be a no brainer for me.

I like the size, I don't know if I could handle a smaller screen. The extra 2 inches is almost critical for me for working in photoshop/dreamweaver. I also like to see movies a bit bigger when watching them on my MBP.

I love it! :)

i find the size of my 15" MBP to be perfect. 12 and 13" are a bit too small for my liking and 17" would be too large for me to carry around.

I really enjoy the 15" MBP. My 17" e1705 was a monster. This MBP is about 3lbs lighter, smaller, thinner, and more powerful.

So what will you be using?

lets just say i bought another brand. and i know ill hear it after all this for not buying another mac, but lets face it, theres nothing wrong with a properly ran PC laptop.

:)

i love my macs, but i need a windows based laptop. Having the ability to run osx and windows on a mac is greeat, but i just play with osx too much to get what i need done.

that, and the fact they run so darn hot, just not feelin another purchase for now.

for now : )

I like the size. If I could have the 17 inch in the 12 inch laptop size that would be ideal, but I think the 15.4 is perfect considering the laws of physics and everything. Going back an using a 12 inch now .. it just seems like a toy.

. . . if you think your 15 inch is big ...

... the first time I say this it was at Comp USA. For about 3 minutes I just stared in disbelief at how ugly and awkward it was. I suppose it's perfect for someone though .. I hope Acer told that someone that it's available .. ;D
