1. How do I burn a CD? I've got a couple of pictures on my hard drive that I need to make backup copies of.

2. For some reason, every time I open up my Gmail account, Safari freezes and I'm forced to do a Force Quit. Anyone else experience this problem?

3. I currently own a Canon Selphy 720, and while the software states that it's compatible with Mac OS, I cannot find the application when I install the program. What could be going wrong?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! I look forward to learning a lot from you all!

1) I'll let someone else answer.

2)Try using the "Mail" app for GMail. There are instructions on the gmail website for getting this to work.

3) Try looking in your applications folder.

Insert the CD. A box will tell you you have inserted a blank CD and ask what to do. Click 'Open in Finder' or something like that.

Now, select all the photos you want to put on the CD. Drag them to the CD (now in your Finder sidebar). It will appear to make shortcuts to them (which by the way are called aliases on Mac), but don't worry.

Now click Burn CD.

3. Look in your apps folder as they said OR use Spotlight (upper right of screen, little blue magnifying glass), just search for the name of the program and see where it was loaded to!

I use firefox because then i could transfer all my bookmarks and saved passwords from my pc, and it works fine with gmail too. You should also get Gmail Notifier, it runs in the background and tells you when you have mail. I found a list of browsers for mac, but i lost it. Shouldnt be hard to find. I believe many people use Opera because it has everything.

Never had a problem with gmail and safari, you could download the new safari beta see if that clears up the issue.
