iTunes Playing a CD

I put a specific CD, all other CD's work perfectly fine, into the drive and play it with iTunes. The first few songs are all scratchy and the sound quality is terrible. But for some reason as the CD goes on the songs sound perfectly fine. I have tested the CD on other CD players, another computer (PC) with iTunes and a normal CD player. It works fine so I am assuming the CD is fine.

I can't seem to find any sort of tuning or sound quality preferences in the iTunes 7.3 preferences.

Any help?
