My boss has just purchased a mac with operating system version 10.4.10 and has asked asked me to transfer files from an old mac version 9.2.2 to the new one.

Could someone please advise me on the best/easiest way to do this.

Thanks

Considering they're different machines, I would have thought the easiest way would be with a USB drive if they're in the same location, but there may be an upgrade path I'm not aware of. Depends how many files it is I guess.

I'd probably say a USB drive then. You can always cross-CAT5 them together and send everything over a network as well, as long as there's ethernet ports available on both.

I was thinking more of using firewire or ethernet cables between the two computers but I don't know how to set them up so that the new computer can see the old computer.
