I usually rip my cd's and dvd's to my external hard drive so it's the default location for any download. I'm traveling so I wanted to rip a dvd directly onto my hard drive and I forgot to change the default save location from my EXTERNAL to my ibook hard drive.

I used mactheripper to rip a dvd and my computer saved it to EXTERNAL 6, which is where it saves if my external hard drive is not hooked up - it's like an imaginary drive or something. The problem is that I cannot access EXTERNAL 6, so I cannot view the dvd or even delete it. This poses a problem since it's taking up 7 gb on my hard drive (that's how I know it exists somewhere on my computer).

Does anyone know how I could find EXTERNAL 6 and delete this file? Please let me know if I need to provide anymore information.

Using an app called Xray will allow you to make the file visible then you just trash it.
