Sticky Mouse

I am new to mac and have an Imac with a cordless mouse.

The mouse seems sticky, simular as if it was the old track ball type and needed to be cleaned.

Is there any thing I can do or can it be a software problem (As you can see I was a PC user so everyting used to be a software issue)

Um which mouse is it? Does it have two buttons?
