scratched screen...now what?!

I have a gouge in my screen and i have no idea how it got there. I don't carry it anywhere but around my house. I think something on the keys might have done it. Is there anything i can do?! I have the apple extended warranty...is this type of thing covered? I just ordered the marware pad to keep the screen off the keys.

i'm pretty sure that if its your fault, they won't cover it. but if you think the keys did it, and you can show evidence that it was a design flaw or defect, you might have a good shot at them fixing it.

has anyone tried that acrylic looking stuff to fix scratches? I see it advertised on TV for scratches in reading glasses. You just paint it on and it must fill in the scratch.
