AIM Problem

I just recently made a clean install of OS X and I'm just now getting all my programs back. I tried downloading AIM off their official website but it's downloading as a .bin file. Isn't that a virtual drive image? Shouldn't it be downloading as a .dmg file? I'm really confused as it keeps trying to open the file in Quicktime and obviously it's not a media file. Is the problem on their end? Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Have you head of a program called Adium? It works wonderfully with most if not all IM clients. I am using it right now, and it looks beautiful, and it does not have any annoying pop-ups, or stock reports. Even if you are only going to be using aim, it is a good program to look into. The cool part is that you can download skins for it, they look really good.

Just a thought.
