conisdering the verizon USB720 card but better a third party manufacturer. anyone have experience with these:

-do they need a usb2 port to be full speed, is this not an issue because the cdma-evdo format is soooo slow?
-i like this version of the product
http://www.gearlive.com/index.php/news/article/samba_3g_dual_band_cdma_ev_do_usb_modem_04260316/
it has a extended cable allowing you some option to position it for best reception.

-the verizon usb720 is only $100 with rebate + 2year contract, where a 3rd party manufacturer will cost more but i think you will get out of a 2year contract. i dont think this technology will last 2years and you will be stuck in a contract with outdated verizon equipment.

real life, what speeds is anyone getting.
