Well I just got back from South Africa today (I'm a little jet-lagged after 24 straight hours of flying) and I thought I'd post one from the trip

The cub is a member of the Chalala (sp?) pride that lives in Sabi Sands outside of Kruger National Park.

I took the picture with a Nikon D80, a 70-200 ƒ2.8 & a 1.7 tele-converter

Here is the picture...I'm not sure if this link will work (outdated link removed)

If it is, it's a great picture. If not, well...

Nikon D40 and RAW with ELEMENTS

(outdated link removed)

my d40 came cheap with the current 'money back' offer because i was going to get an Lumix LX2 as the source for my RAW files and my exploration of Photoshop Elements.

(outdated link removed)

even though its more bulk then i'm used to i do like the d40 but its too good in a way..... i have to go some to find something i have to correct from Nikon metering and compression. the first is Nikon and the second is me..... tell me i'm better hehe.

(ps: it's only a real pub when the toilets are outside..... far right out buildings.)

I need to make an apology here... That pic is not mine. I have one similar to it that I took of my cat and did some simple iPhoto work to it, but I guess I got mixed up or wasn't paying attention when I was uploading.

Sorry everyone.

I don't think it stands a chance from some of the other images, but here is my entry.

(outdated link removed)

It was shot on my new Canon EOS 30D, 1/40th, F/5.6, in RAW. Processed lightly through Lightroom. IMO it looks a lot better huge, like on my desktop! ;D

Great picture heavyweight!

I'm tempted to go with the tizzy 1 now rather than save up for the tz3... Any thoughts?
