Need help with internal drive on G4 Dual Mirrored Drive Door Mac

Need help with internal drive on G4 Dual Mirrored Drive Door Mac.
I need to buy another internal hard drive but don't know what I need to buy.
The native 80 GB internal drive is full 79 GB. It's a: IBM-IC35L080AVVA07-0

I would like to add something larger but can't find the specs.
Any suggestions on what I should be looking for?
Drive type, pin number, compatibility...
My backup external drive is a 160GB.

The MDD Macs takes standard IDE drives. The MDD has no drive limitation like the older Quicksilver 2001 and before so you are not limited to a 120GB drive. Just get pretty much any IDE ATA 100/133 Hard Drive and it will work. I have a preference for Seagate but Western Digital is fine also.

Just be sure not to get a SATA (Serial ATA) as that will not work unless you get a Mac Compatible PCI SATA card. IDE is what you want.

Will a ATA-100 work?

Will a Seagate Barracuda 7200.9 - hard drive - 300 GB - ATA-100 work?

How do I access drive holder?

I opened the case to check the original drive to see what may be printed on it.
I can't seem to get the sheet metal drive holder out so I could install a new drive once I know what to put in there.
What am I not seeing?
I removed the screw at the top of the holder and dissengaged the little plastic lever on the side and it doesn't seem to free it up to allow a new drive to slide into place. I would assume that's what Apple had in mind with this design.

How do I install a new drive in this bay?

That is strange unless the MDD did something different then the rest of the G4 Towers. On any of mine you just take out that one screw at the back of the drive holder and pick it up and slide it out. I will get back to you on this.

That drive should work just fine. Like I said all the MDD Macs will take the newer IDE drives larger than 120GB. The drive you listed is IDE. ATA-100 drives are IDE. It should work just fine. Just the older G4 towers had a size limit of 120GB. Your machine does not have that issue. Just avoid any drive that says SATA and not Ultra ATA. For SATA you need a PCI Card.

Sliding it up was the trick.
I assumed from what I was seeing it would pivot out when the screw was removed.

Once I plug in the new drive and turn on the computer what will I need to do to get the computer to boot from the new drive?

I have ProSoft Data Backup 3 that I will clone or mirror (not sure what the difference is and which I should do) from the old drive to the new drive.

I tried booting from my backup drive but it crashed each time.
I now understand there are hidden files that don't transfer when I do a backup.
