Have you tried other discs?
What brand and type are the discs?

My first shot with this type of problem is always to try another brand of disc.

After some reading, the only thing I found on a quick search that worked on at least a few occasions was resetting the PRAM. Instructions are here.

Found several mentions of Norton causing this error.

Will see what else I can find.

Did you just install the new SuperDrive update? If not try that, it is suppose to help with support for more discs.

Found one report of Repair Disc in disc utitility did the trick.
