Why is my Mac slowing down?

Can anyone provide a reason for this?



Background

• I bought a MacBook Pro laptop about a week ago
• I used Bootcamp and created a 32 GB partition and installed Windows XP
• I've used about 15 GB of the Windows
• I've installed on Windows:
  • Ad-Aware
  • Boot Camp
  • DivX
  • Combined Codec
  • Mozilla Firefox
• I have not changed my Internet connection
• I use a Ethernet connection (100.0 Mbps)

Specs

• 2.4 Ghz Intel Duo Core
• 2 GB RAM
• 150 GB Hard drive
• Nvidia GeForce 8600 graphics card

Before I can help, I'll need some more information:
What OS are you testing the speed on?
What ISP do you have?
What state do you live in?

But honestly, I think Its just your ISP's speed fluctuating. Don't freak out on daily tests, just keep track of the overall picture in a month and get the average of all those speeds, then you'll get your real average.

I deleted the Windows partition and reformatted my hard drive with Mac.

I did the test again, and I'm back up to ~6500kb/sec for download.

I have no idea why it went so slow before.

Do you wan't to know why your Mac is slowing down? Because it is a Mac and Apple doesn't understand how to utilize Intels revolutionary Core Duo processor.
