I just got myself a macbook when they upgraded them. I have the higher end white model with 2GB of RAM for video editing.

I am thinking about buying Leopard when it comes out in October, but do you think it will run any slower then Tiger on my Macbook? (I ask this because the last time I updated a notebook it was running windows ME and I upgraded it to XP and it ran very very slow to the point where it was almost unusable)

Also can Leopard even run on a G4 Powermac?

I believe Leopard supports G4 and newer processors. (I think it's the first to not [officially] support G3s, someone please correct me if I'm wrong.)

As for the Macbook, every computer Apple sells currently and probably everything they've sold in the past two-plus years should run Leopard just fine.

You will find that OSX and Windows are very different in that respect. It will run just fine on your Macbook. Will run on a G4 also.

Theres alot about it I don't like. But once it comes out, and we get to play around with it, I may be singing a different tune.
