Title pretty much says it all, I'm looking for a cheap mac laptop but I want something that can play Divx at least tolerably. I just want to know if anyone has any experience running it on this speed CPU and if it works well....

If I have to I'll save up for a TiBook, but would prefer to pump the 2-300 difference into other mac stuff. I've got a FW DVD Burner so optical drive isn't important to me.

TIA

actually yes, it is enough. i have a 700 mhz ibook and it plays divx movies decently EXCEPT, when you full screen them. then they drop frames. and streaming flash video runs awful on mine as well so youtube and all other web video is best watched on another machine.

No plans for YouTube I don't really even watch it on my C2D mini. What are you using to play the movies? VLC or the Divx player?
