I just got a new macbook and have no clue about macs. I want to make a picture dvd. What is the best software that does not cost a lot?

Unibody MBP 2.4 GHz C2D/27" Core i7 iMac
You can use the iLife software. Try iPhoto and iDVD or even iMovie for starters.

Import your photos into iPhoto - then select them and drag them into iDVD.
