Well.. Just got my ipod 20 G, and I must say that I already love the little ******* ;), got just one question though... well, I pretty much use my ipod as my main source of music, connected to my stereo from the dock. The thing is, that I often forget to turn it off, and sometimes it can just sit in there for a day or two... is this harmful ??, I noticed that when in dock, it displays a "large battery" when charged, but it does'nt seem to actually switch off... does it ??.

Regards.

Yes, it will switch itself off after it is left "sleeping" for a while. However, if it is plugged into a computer and "mounted", the HDD will be constantly running, so you'll want to keep it "ejected" when you're not using it.

Mmm, not quite.

When you see the large battery symbol, that means it's shut off and just charging. The display is on, but the rest of it is off. You can leave it like this forever, without harming it.

However, when it's mounted, the drive only stays spinning for a few seconds, and then it too, shuts down, until you access it again. It's perfectly safe to leave it mounted day and night.
