iChat Video - Can't get it to work...

I am trying to get iChat Video Chat to work with my AIM. My buddy has the updated AIM. I have an iMac that I bought in February. When I initiate a video chat, my buddy clicks accept, and then it comes back saying that I didn't respond, which I did...then if my buddy initiates the invite, I will click accept, and then it still says I didn't...and then asks me to send an error message to MAC...what's going on??? What am I missing???

Make sure you both have firewalls opened
