Does anyone know how to reset the operating system on my PowerBookG4. Its running OSX version 10.1.8. Essentially I want to reset it, as if it were a vrand new computer. Also, I am not worried about losing any information or files on it. Thanks!

Welcome to Mac-Forums, emacer.

Simply use the CDs that came with your PowerBook and perform an Erase and Install. Insert disk one in the optical drive and restart holding down the C key.

You'll have to buy the full installer version of Mac OS X in that case. There is no other way.

I use AppZapper. Some will suggest AppDelete.

But these are only for applications that don't have their own uninstaller like the Adobe products or Micro$oft Office.
