Ring tone

It looks to me that the iPhone can only have ringtones that are pre-installed and you can't choose one from your iTunes - anyone know if this is fact.

If so it is another basic mobile feature that Apple has chosen to ignore and another reason why it is going to look dated when they decide to launch in Europe.

I am waiting for this info as well. I have a F1 ringtone that has to be on my phone. I saw the guided tour and they did not elaborate very well on the ringers.

They didn't say and it doesn't look like it unless you can take and play midi files. I think Apple might be leaning towards selling ring tones on iTunes after all they are now the 3rd largest music distributer.
