I had a macbook hard-drive crash last week, just received the new hard-drive, and I'm hung up on the install. I'm sure this is simple, but I've been beating my head against the wall for about 2 hours now.

I am trying to reinstall my software, and at a step where I am supposed to name the new hard-drive "Macintosh HD", but the "Volume Information" area is not typable. So my volume has no name. Is there a way to actually name the volume, or do I ignore this? Thanks.

(I used a prefix of OS 10.5, but I don't have the ability to check the version now. I am new here, read the forum rules, and hope I haven't committed any faux pas).
