It seems that i would have a faster mac now that i have installed a 320 gb hd in my mac g4 but it seems slower. That is not my main concern, I am editing video and i need to hear the sound. it seems like I have the problem after it has gone in to sleep for a while. then i restart and it comes back. whats the deal?

ps i wouldnt mind if it ran faster either!!:Shouting:

The drive size will not make you computer noticeably faster, even if you went with a 10000 rpm drive.

As for the sound issue, you could just turn of sleep. I know there have been sleep issues in OSX, what version are you running?
