It should have the card built in and you should be able to use it fine. Look in the System Prefs under Network and make sure Airport is enabled.

I know I saw something with airport onand off switch. I`m so new to the macworld and only starting to figure stuff out. So I can use it with say a Linksys wireless router no problem?

Yes, it all conforms to the 802.11 standards for interoperability, regardless of the brand and model name of wireless card and router.

You should see an icon at the upper-right of the screen, near the clock - it looks like a fan. Click on it, select your network name and connect.
