Burning DVD+RW discs on Panther?

Hi there,

I have a G4 Power Mac Desktop running on Panther (10.3.9) and just installed a Pioneer DVD-RW 112-D burner.

DVD-R's seem to work, but i can't write or even read DVD+RW discs. I'm using a Memorex DVD+RW disc right now.

Is this because i'm on panther? I would like to burn ISOs onto the DVD+RWs so i can watch on regular DVD players. Is there a free program what will allow this on my version of OSX?

Thanks so much!

You might need to invest in Roxio's Toast software.

But try Burn X, Disco or check versiontracker.com for other apps first.

Welcome to Mac-Forums, Vegas_baby99!

And to add to Apt's reply, Memorex is one of the worse brands you could ever get hold of.

I tried Burn X and it worked, thanks! But how do I burn a movie onto a DVD so it will play on regular DVD player? I converted an .AVI file to an ISO file but when i used Burn X it literally just burned the file onto to the disc.

Thanks!
