I have just recieved some good news regarding a scare where we thought my wife may have had lung cancer.

It now looks certain to be something much less severe and I cant explain the relief this gives you, however many people arent so lucky.

Something like this really seems to re-align your priorities in life.

I am currently toying with the idea of setting up some sort of site to try to raise money for a cancer charity, something along the lines of the site where a guy sold pixels on a page.

Im more than willing and able to contact companies and do the general leg work for something like this but my web skills are not up to scratch to pull this off properly.

If anyone out there wants to get involved by offering ideas or skills it would be much appreciated as I doubt I could make it work alone.

If you want to help out just reply or drop me a pm.

Cheers

Dave

I'd be more then willing to help. I've got 2 months off as I've officially finished school now.

I've got a private webserver (hosted by www.surpasshosting.com) that i can give space if you need it.

I'd like to help out as well. If you don't take Hustle up on the offer, I can donate hosting. I'd love to donate programming time, but unfortunately I have none to spare :\

My ISP's datacenter is a Tier1 facility in terms of network connectivity and infrastructure design. They have direct backbone connections to the internet with the major backbone providers including AT&T, MCI (UUNET), Qwest and Level 3. They have fiber connections scalable from OC3 to OC192 (i.e., as fast of a connection as you'll find anywhere).

I have just dropped an email to Cancer Research to try to find out how to do this properly and will keep you posted when I get a response.

Thansk for all the support.
