Macs and Microphones???

Ive got 2 macs

1 x Mini
1 x Powerbook Titanium




when using a web cam etc.. to chat. I can see the head phone socket etc.. but where is the microphone or its socket ?????

Ok..found the microphone s in the powerbook. Yet my Logitech one wont work? !!

and the mini looks like it must use a USB etc?????

is this correct??

That is correct. The Mini does not have mic input. I had to use a Griffin (I think) iMic back when I had one which worked well until it met up with a full glass of Cabernet causing its demise. USB for both input and output.

Not sure what the deal is with a Titanium powerbook. I'd assume that it's a standard 1/8" jack like on my Macbook. I use a Sony ECM-MS907 for that if I'm needing something other than the built-in mic with the iSight camera.

Actually it would depend on the mini:

The intel mini has an audio input that you could plug a mic into...
