True, but I guess it's just easier to do 10.4.10 as 10.4.9.1 has too many decimal points :p

Don't think of it a decimal. Think of it more as a period or a spacer. Then you will see that it really is a 10 and not a 1. It can't be a decimal, when have you seen a number with two decimals in it?

Would 10.4.10 be just a version to make the transition to 10.5 easier?

And yeah it's not the same as 10.4.9.1 as we all know.

10.4.10 is the same as 10.4.1

10.4.9 is Mac OS version 10, release 4, patch 9. 10.4.9 would be version 10, release 4, patch 10. They're discrete numbers, like in an IP address.

True, but I guess it's just easier to do 10.4.10 as 10.4.9.1 has too many decimal points :p

Surely 10.4.9 also has too many decimal points? I've never seen a decimal with 2 before :)

It's another double booter, so be prepared for that upon update.

No problems on Intel Macbook.

Yeah, as soon as you've set up your machine and are online, run the software update - click on the Apple symbol in the upper left and click on software update.

No issues here so far on my iMac G5. Going to update the Core Duo Mini, G4 DA and iBook G4 in a few.

Be sure to not have other applications running when you install the update and all will go well. It is also a good idea to repair permissions before you start the update and after it reboots.
