Last week, I installed Boot Camp and created a 32gb partition for Windows.

Today, I followed the directions to delete that partition and add it back to OSX. Then I installed Windows through Parallels.

On my desktop, I am told that I have only 41gb free on my Mac HD, but when I right click and choose Get Info, I am told that I have 96GB free.

Where did the 32GB Windows Boot Camp partition go? Why does my desktop icon display different information? By the way, I have Refreshed the desktop and restarted several times.

Thanks for helping out a Mac newbie.

The partition I made last week with Boot Camp was Fat32.

The Windows install I did today was through Paralells...not sure what their 'Recommended' installation method actually does in terms of partitions, but I don't think it create any NTFS partition.

Thanks for the suggestion, though...

Well, if anyone is interested, you can change the size of the text on the desktop icons by going to View - Show View Options. It says I have 96.41gb free. All is well.
