Hi, i am about to get a macbook. I do not want to spend $150 on Office 2004, and like office 2007 much better anyways. So I would have to install XP using bootcamp and then everything would be good to go? I have the XP Pro CD, but the threads keep talking about some SP2 disc, how do i know if i have this or if my CD of XP is capable of doing this?

If your only reason for installing XP on your macbook is to use Office 2007, then you should use Parallels instead of Bootcamp. Parallels alows you to run XP in a window (or full screen) WITHIN OS X... no rebooting, no closing OSX apps, etc...

SP2 refers to Service Pack 2 (an update to XP)... if the disc says Service pack to or SP2, you have it... You do NOT need SP2 if you use Parallels.

Correct... Bootcamp is free, while Parallels is $80...
