I know what you are probably thinking... wow, another one of these "I just got my macbook and I love it" posts, but this is more than that. Last night was a long night for me, I didn't get home until about 4 in the morning. I knew that my macbook was in Kansas City (3 days earlier than expected) due to fedex online update. So, my doorbell does not work, and my room is out of hearing distance of knocking, so I thought that I was going to have to wait until the next time they came out to get my new computer. So, when I got home, I went in my room and set my alarm for really early, just incase they came to my house first. I guess I thought that I could run off of a measly 5 hours of sleep... boy was I wrong. So I took my blanket and my pillow out into my front room. I didn't sleep well, every noise that I heard, I assumed it was the fedex person. When I finially got to sleep, I had a dream about opening up my box and nothing was in there... :(. Luckaly this was not the case.

When it finially arrived, I took it out of the box, and everything ran so smoothly. I really do like it, a lot. I have proceeded to turn off my computer, and it has not been powered on since this morning (I keep it running all of the time).

Quick question tho, what is the extra cable that has been included in my box, it looks like another power cord, but I can't figure anywhere to put it?

the extra cable is an extension for ur power chord...it attaches to that white square on the power chord. u have to remove that little cube on the white thing that plugs into the wall, and attach the extension chord there

I know the anticipation you speak of. I stood outside and listened for approaching trucks hoping that it was FedEx. You won't be disappointed though, you have a great computer in your posession.

Congrats on a great purchase! You'll love it!

I thought the keyboard felt different too, not cheap, but definatly different than anything I typed on before. I used to really worry about something happening to my Mac, and I still take extreme care when I use/transport it. Juust get yourself some Applecare and enjoy your new machine and everything will be fine =)
