Keychain broken - 'unknown (locked)' - Please help me fix this

Hey everyone. Every time I do something that uses a password, I get dialog like:



I enter the password, check "Remember" or "Store in keychain". But it doesn't seem to work. I just get asked again.

All my stored passwords are gone =(
ftp, websites, augh. this horrible!

I looked in keychain.app and see the following screens:



The menu shows "null":



I tried a verify/repair and get:



Is there any way to fix this, or know whats even wrong?

Giulio, I'm at school at the moment so don't have much time to research this. I found this and, while it might not be the same problem as yours, I thought I'd post it here anyway in case it sends you off on a winning tangent.

I figured it out, sorta. The keychain was not in my keychains list. The keychain in ~/Library/keychains/ was named "login_renamed.keychain". So I dragged that into the keychains list in keychain.app, unlocked it.... and things started to work again.

I don't know how it renamed in the first place though.
