what to delete to make the system faster?

Just done a full fresh install and update. I have been told that printers files et ccan be deleted( I only use one! and about once a month!)

just want to shed some "weight" and get things a bit more stream line.

what tricks and settings should I use to have a simplek fast system??

Remove MS Office Trial if you want.

make sure you're not keeping any folders on your desktop unless you absolutely want them there. as i understand it, each folder acts as an open finder window and impacts the system as such. you may be better off creating folders in your home folder if you need them and if you want quick access to them you can add them to your sidebar or dock.
