black horizontal line on iMac display

I have a thin black horizontal line across my iMac 15 inch display. I am running Panther 10.3.3 on a 700 MHz G4 iMac. I tried restarting, changing resolutions of display, running hardware tests with no success---any suggestions short of returning it to Apple repair facility?

That unfortunately is a common problem with LCD screens. There really isn't much you can do to eliminate as far as I know. You could try the apple repair, if you have the apple protection plan it may be covered. Otherwise I don't think there is any way to remedy it.
