Hi there,
Can anyone please help me as I'm having problems installing mac osx10 on a new hard drive that I've bought for my Macbook Core 2 Duo. reading articles online I've formatted the drive for mac journaled and zero'd the drive. I keep getting a warning sign over the drive icon saying that I can not install mac osx on this partition.
When I go into Disk Utility-partition-options I click 'GUID Partition Table', but when I reopn Disk Utility it has reset itself to 'Apple Partition Table'. I assume that this is the reason why I'm unable to install Mac OSX. Is there a way to force the drive to stay on the GUID Partition Table selection rather than resetting as soon as I close disk utility?
Many thanks
