How To change Airport Wireless Channel and Mode

I have a Macbook Pro with Tiger os x 10.4.9 Im very new to macs and just wanted to know how to change the airport channel and mode type "802.11.g,802.11b etc." I don't want it to scan for any other modes besides 802.11g and I don't want to auto find the channel I want to switch it myself. One more thing I don't have an airport base I use a D-link router.

well the whole "i dont want it to autoscan for the channel" is kinda pointless really.

youll have to go on netgear's site to find details, im only familiar with linksys.

try 192.168.1.1 in your browser
