Moving to the USA

I have an iMac that works on 220volts.I have been asked to go and work in the US. Can i convert my Mac to 110volts with ease and how do i do it?

Anybody know or anybody know who i can ask?

Well I'm no expert on the subject, but maybe you can get an adaptor that plugs between your imac's power cord and the US power point. A 220V to 110V adaptor. Most electronics stors should know what your talking about. But you'd have to get one that fits your imac cord on one end and the US powerplug on the other end.

I have no idea if I'm correct, but as far as I know you just gotta buy an American iMac cable and plug it in to your iMac and it works. I dunno, I'm basing this entirely on the fact that the iMac end of the plugs are the same shape.

Just be careful if it's an iMac G5 - some of those didn't have the switching power supplies!

too bad the traveler adapter kit wont help you
