A lot of people have been complaining that the screen sharing feature of iChat may have gotten axed in the updated version of Leopard and I have evidence to contradict to that whole controversy.
We all probably know by now that there was a hint that screen sharing has been moved to the Finder.
See attachment three.
But there is evidence that screen sharing still appears in iChat also.
See far right icon in the bottom of the iChat buddy list window in attachment one.
Okay, so everything is all good right? No. I have a hunch that that button in the bottom of the iChat buddy list window might be the Tabbed Chat button. If that is so, there is no evidence that screen sharing will appear in iChat.
If the tabbed chats were not announced until WWDC 07, than there is hope! In the videos from the previous Leopard Sneak Peek, that button was already there! See attachment two. There is still a little bit of doubt that it is the screen share button, because in the video it was not shown how to start a screen share.
But if someone can confirm that the tabbed chat feature was not a feature in the iChat shown at MacWorld last year, that it was announced at this years WWDC, there is a pretty good chance that screen sharing will be on the final version of iChat shipped with Leopard.
